Randiea Spires

Coming to therapy can be difficult and scary, but taking the first step is the most important, and you will not be alone. I work with women, men, and couples to help identify the feelings and emotions that have been causing them distress from chronic infertility issues, pregnancy loss, baby loss, birth trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, and surrogacy and adoption support.

I provide a safe environment for you to explore your emotions and help you achieve your desired therapy goals as quickly as possible, and work towards restructuring the way you think with the purpose of long term healing. I teach mind-body techniques such as mediation, breathing, and cognitive restructuring skills to manage stress in your life. I use dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and EMDR.

As a Certified Integrative Health Coach, I place an emphasis on incorporating lifestyle change as needed to enhance your outcome.  I use a “whole body approach”, which means a variety of things:

I ask about how you sleep, how you eat, and how you move, amongst other factors that may affect your lifestyle.

I make it a priority to find which self-care methods work best for you as an individual, and how to incorporate those into daily living.

I encourage collaborations between me, your doctor, your chiropractor, your dietician, etc. to ensure that your healthcare team is working together when necessary.

There’s a general goal of healing the relationship between your mind and your body.

I worked in Mother/Baby, Neonatal Intensive Unit ( NICU) as a perinatal social worker and case management for individuals with chronic illness. From there, I moved to an outpatient community mental health agency, where I worked for three years as a therapist specializing in maternal mental health, helping women who have co-occurring disorders ( one or more mental health disorders and a substance disorder and/or addiction). While working in community mental health, I started my online coaching and private practice. I am a postpartum doula and a coordinator for Postpartum Support International (PSI)-Fl and Group Facilitator.
